Epiphany

Liturgical seaon: Epiphany

Food: King Cake

Relevance: King cakes are a new orleans fare. They are a sweet dessert and decorated with yellow, green, and purple to represent the three kings that visited Jesus. We bought one this year instead of baking...don't judge!

The cake was awesome. It came with three necklaces and a tiny baby that you could hide in the cake for good luck. We passed on the baby, since it was a choking hazard to our 3 and 1 year old. We ate the whole thing in one sitting. Maybe we'll suck it up and try to bake one for Fat Tuesday.
